Mindset, Wellbeing, Spirituality and You
For years the gurus told us if we just got our mindset a little, or even a whole lot closer to a certain vibration, our lives would change.
So much so we wouldn’t recognize ourselves.
We’d have the relationship we wanted, the perfect one of course.
We’d have perfect home and family.
We’d have the perfect career too.
We’d be swimming in dough, and if we got it right like they did, we’d have passive income flowing straight into our bank accounts ever after.
Sound like Cinderella? Right, I thought so.
And, like Cinderella we end up spending our lives working for someone else.
Picking up after them.
Watching their lives blossom.
As ours wilts and our dreams and hopes evaporate.
Like snow on a summer’s day.
Seems that most of those gurus hired the gorgeous blonde with the form-fitting dress to lean against the gorgeous convertible or fancy European car and act as if she was part of the dream they were trying to sell us.
Many bought into it, only to realize it was a myth. A dream. A reality that didn’t exist in this world.
Unfortunately, the only truth behind any of it was that yes, it was possible to get that bling, but you also had to do the necessary footwork that went with it all. That meant working more than a four hour work week and spending more time behind a computer desk than anyone wanted.
It meant work. And work hard in order for the payoff of fancy car, beautiful home and gorgeous blonde.
Or was she a redhead?
Sometimes the dream got fuzzy.
It meant spending lots of your hard earned money on training programs and conferences and websites and funnels and high end programs when the first ones failed. The gurus were quick enough to point out there was something wrong with you.
The way you didn’t do the work.
The way you didn’t follow their outlines, trainings, teachings and especially the way you didn’t buy more of what they had to sell.
It wasn’t them.
It was you.
But, here comes the real kicker…you know people who do just that. In fact, they’re the ones who tell you to kick back and let the dream come to you.
That’s it. Just let it come to you.
What about mindset you say…vibration, alignment…even well-being and that spiritual thing? Doesn’t any of that count?
And work…physical work.
Whether in an office or out in nature. Where did that fit in? Didn’t someone have to do the dirty work? Yes of course.
Someone has to pick up, put away, do the cleaning, but it certainly wouldn’t be you.
According to the gurus,
We can only attract more of what we are. And, if we reach higher, then we can become that. The higher we reach, the more we can achieve. If we have it together, if we know what we’re doing, and especially, if we really and truly want it bad enough.
It’s all a matter of what we desire.
And focus on.
If we focus on something long enough, put enough inspirational effort in, we can achieve what we believe to be within us.
If we make a promise to someone, and then decide to break it because something better has come along, where does that leave the one to whom we broke our promise?
For some, it sounds selfish.
After all, it wasn’t something that mattered. Not really, because if it did, then the universe would’ve made it happen. And so it goes.
Ponzi would’ve loved the 21st Century
Yet, in all honesty, Life happens. The universe keeps on growing and the world continues to turn on its own axis.
People must learn to adjust and carry on.
Like the English.
Like the Queen.
Like the World.
As Seth Godin says, “The world needs to hear from you.”
He doesn’t give you a roadmap, or even the straight and narrow path. That’s not his job; that belongs to you to figure out.
Not the Queen.
Not even your local guru.
Your life belongs to you.
It’s up to you how you want to live it.
With spiritual and energetic awareness.
With your own power or with someone telling you what to do.
It’s all up to you.
After all, you’ve got a voice.
So, you might want to use it before it fades away.
